Legal Cashier/ Bookkeeper – part time or self-employed services
You understand that bookkeeping is not simply about inputting, but about bringing to life numbers that are key to business objectives.
You have strong work ethics and a positive attitude. You want to understand what you are doing, and use that understanding to enrich your career and add value to us. You are determined to achieve results that are agreed.
You also have an interest in compliance matters, and are keen to help develop processes that comply with regulatory rules and meet business requirements.
If the above is you, please let us know. Send your CV and suitable cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org
Paralegal – focusing on company commercial and litigation
You are frustrated that there are few opportunities for you to develop your legal career, but you also appreciate that we may be frustrated with a commonly held belief that a law degree entitles anyone to a legal career. It does not. It is about hard work, a positive attitude, commitment and proving yourself. We are offering an opportunity for you to prove yourself. The path with us is staggered – there are key stages in which you need to prove yourself, and when you do we move to the next stage.
For us at this point in time, the paralegal role is a route to you obtaining a training contract with us to start on 1 April 2015 (Monica is currently our Trainee and we committed to Kishan for 1 April 2014 – both of whom started as paralegals with us). As a paralegal, you will get quality work and experience and be an important part of our team.
If you are interested and have a minimum 2:1 LLB, have completed your LPC in the past 12 months or are currently in a legal role, then let us know. Send your CV and suitable cover letter by post to Paralegal Role, Surjj Legal, Devonshire House. But be warned – we get a large number of applications and if you do not take care in what you submit, follow simple instructions or put the effort into your application then we will simply bin your application without responding.
Solicitor – any of Employment/ Litigation/ Commercial Property & Landlord and Tenant/ Company and Commercial/ Intellectual Property
You have a minimum of 3 years experience, and feel undervalued where you are. You have drive and ambition, and are prepared to be judged on your contribution. You can help us develop our business, but appreciate that in doing so you have to meet billing and other key objectives.
Your experience is valuable. It has given you a good grasp of legal concepts, an ability to gather and understand facts, application of legal concepts to those facts and, most importantly, the use of that knowledge to meet client’s objectives.
You may have a following, or the self-belief to create a following. Either is attractive to us.
If you are interested and have worked in an established and reputable legal practice, then let us know. Send to us what you believe is needed for us to be impressed.

You enjoy applying your time and energy to the law, and to benefit from the effort you make. You do not want to be burdened with administration and overall compliance responsibilities.
We are interested in having discussions with you, and if you are interested then please telephone and ask to speak with Ronnie Ilan.
You wish to integrate your practice into another, or to start planning for your retirement. We are interested in having discussions.
